CLIENT
Paramjit Bhachoo wanted what many homeowners in the UK want today: a home that contributes positively to our Net-zero goals as a country, and of course, leads to the fruit of solar energy, which is less reliance on the grid and reduced energy bills. These concerns along with the mood swings in energy costs, pushed Paramjit to find a solution that not only protected his family financially but also reduced their environmental footprint.
The Project
The challenge at hand was to create a system that aligned beautifully with Paramjit’s goals toward an energy-efficient home. With this at the forefront of our strategy, we designed a system that maximised roof space while meeting the home’s annual energy demand. An impressive and high-quality 13.05 kWp solar PV system was installed, pairing the dream team: high-efficiency panels, dual inverters, and premium storage. With this setup, Paramjit’s household could generate, store, and consume clean energy from the moment the sun rises all the way till the moon takes it’s shift, ensuring a reliable supply and energy resilience.
The technical scope included:
- 30 × Jinko 435W solar panels (13.05 kWp total capacity)
- 1 × FoxESS 8kW Hybrid Inverter
- 1 × FoxESS 3.6kW String Inverter
- 30 × Tigo Optimisers
- 1 × Tesla Powerwall (13.5 kWh storage)
- Roof Pitch: 10° Flat + 40° Pitch (South Facing)
- Project Cost: £18,000
The Solution
Now that we had the project strategy in place, the solution came about just as quickly. The system was engineered and designed to provide maximum efficiency and reliability, made to last. With ~70% of the home’s energy needs now supplied by solar, Paramjit and his family enjoy independence from tariffs that rise faster than the heat in July and energy bills that threatened their financial security in the long run. The Tesla Powerwall provides a backup supply during outages and ensures that surplus solar generated during the day powers the home at night. And on the other hand, Tigo optimisers work tirelessly to produce consistent panel-level output, even under shading, and the hybrid inverter future-proofs the property for additional upgrades.
The Result
