The Fortune Group cut reliance on grid power with a high-efficiency solar system. The project improved sustainability and prepared the site for future green technology
The Fortune Group London Ltd is an innovative business group based in Luton. The organisation is focused on delivering quality services while adapting to and upholding sustainable business practices. With a rise in energy prices and a growing corporate responsibility to reduce carbon emissions, the company recognised renewable energy solutions as the best way forward. Their companies’ goal was to reduce operational costs, improve energy independence, and demonstrate environmental leadership.
The Project
As a leading commercial solar installer in Luton, Solar4Good partnered with The Fortune Group to design and install a 26.4 kWp rooftop solar PV system. The installation was spread across pitched and flat roof sections of their premises, requiring careful planning for a consistent energy output and to maximise the use of the site.
Technical Scope:
60 × Canadian 440W solar panels (26.4 kWp system)
1 × Fox T25-G3 inverter (3-phase)
60 × Tigo optimisers for panel-level efficiency
Roof pitch: 18° (south-facing pitched roof)
Flat roof pitch: 10° (south-facing)
Project cost: £22,800
The Solution
Solar4Good provided end-to-end service, being entirely hands-on from the feasibility study right through to commissioning – making sure the system is both fully reliable and ready to scale.
Highlights:
Mixed Roof Design – This is a smart layout installed across pitched and flat roofs for consistent energy generation all day.
Panel-Level Optimisation – The inclusion of Tigo optimisers on each panel to reduce shading issues and improve performance tracking.
Future-Ready – Built to easily integrate with battery storage and EV charging down the line.
Seamless Installation – The project was proudly completed with little to no disruption to daily business operations.
The Result
The commercial solar system now generates around 28,000–30,000 kWh annually, which covers a significant amount of the company’s electricity demand while delivering long-term financial and environmental benefits.
Environmental Impact:
Annual CO₂ savings: 6,000–6,500 kg
Lifetime CO₂ offset: 150,000–160,000 kg
Equivalent to planting 6,000–6,500 trees
Financial Savings:
Lifetime savings: £130,000–£140,00
Average annual savings: £5,200–£5,600
ROI / Payback period: 5–5.5 years
Client Benefits:
A reduced reliance on unpredictable energy tariffs
Long-term cost savings, with a more resilient operation
Stronger ESG profile backed by trackable carbon reduction
A solid foundation for future renewable technology integration
