The Project

Solar4Good was appointed to deliver a high-performing 17.6 kWp rooftop solar PV system with a hybrid battery storage system. The installation was designed to make maximum use of the property’s flat south-facing roof while making sure of seamless integration of storage technology for round-the-clock efficiency and production.

Technical Scope:

  • 40 × Jinko 440W solar panels (total capacity: 17.6 kWp)
  • 1 × FoxESS H3-Pro 15 kW hybrid inverter (3-phase)
  • 2 × FoxESS EP11 batteries (22 kWh combined storage)
  • BirdMesh protection system
  • Roof pitch: 12° flat roof (south-facing)
  • Project cost: £16,000

The Solution

Solar4Good delivered a turnkey package covering feasibility, design, installation, and commissioning.

Key Features:

  • Hybrid Battery Integration – Two FoxESS EP11 batteries that can store about 90% of extra energy, which makes the system less reliant on the grid.
  • Smart Inverter System –A FoxESS 3-phase hybrid inverter that makes the most of energy production and ensures power is used efficiently.
  • Pest & Durability Measures – BirdMesh installation protects the system from nesting damage, extending the system’s lifespan.
  • Flat Roof Optimisation – System designed to take advantage of the south-facing orientation and shallow pitch for peak efficiency.

The system now generates ~19,500 kWh annually, delivering significant energy independence and long-term financial benefits.

Environmental Impact:

  • Average annual CO₂ savings: ~9,600 kg
  • Monthly savings: ~800 kg
  • Lifetime carbon offset: ~240,000 kg CO₂
  • Equivalent to planting ~10,500 trees
