The project was simple: to provide his home with the necessary improvements so he can live out his sustainablility dreams. So, with this in mind, a 17.1 kWp solar PV system was designed for Stuart’s home, making use of multiple roof orientations (east, south, and west) to generate power consistently from morning, all through sunset and beyond. The system was paired with high-capacity battery storage to maximise self-consumption and provide reliable energy security.
The technical scope included:
- 38 × DMEG 450W panels (17.1 kWp total capacity)
- 1 × SigenStor EC 12.0SP Hybrid Inverter
- 3 × SigenStor BAT 8.0 Batteries (24 kWh storage)
- Roof Pitch: 25° Flat Roof (East, South, West Facing)
- Project Cost: £19,800
