"We started Solar4Good® because we kept seeing the same thing: great solar systems installed by companies that had disappeared by year three."
I spent years in the energy industry watching homeowners get let down, not on the day of the install, but months later when something needed attention and nobody picked up the phone. The system was fine. The company had moved on.
So we built Solar4Good around one question: would we still be here in year ten? our MCS-registered installers do most of the work, and where we use an installer further afield they work under our MCS registration, so the certificate and the warranty are always ours. We designed every system as if we'd be the ones maintaining it for the next two decades. Because we will be.
We're proud to have been quoted by the Financial Times and The Times on UK solar, to be recognised in the FMB's 2026 Home Picks for customer service, and most of all, to have customers who call us their friends, not just their installer.
Not all installers are the same. These are the numbers that reflect how we work, not just that we work.
“Right from the beginning, our seller Manan was absolutely brilliant. He was incredibly reliable throughout the whole process, providing honest feedback and authentic advice to ensure the final solution was absolutely perfect for our home. It is rare to find someone so genuinely invested in getting things right for the customer.”
“After being told by Octopus that they were unable to install our solar we contacted Solar4Good. Manan has been brilliant from the start and has followed up on all questions/queries. Solar was fitted today and we are now 'offgrid'. The electricians were amazing and I would highly recommend the company. Thank you Manan and your team”
“Professional, transparent, and reliable from start to finish. Florence Care Homes had 56 panels installed. The system now generates between 24,000–26,000 kWh annually, covering 35–40% of our energy needs. ROI is on track for under 6 years. Highly recommended.”
Every installation is carried out under our own MCS registration. Certified by us on every job, no strangers on your roof, the same people who quoted the job stand behind it.
Every certification that a responsible solar installation requires. All current, all independently verified, all published with registration numbers you can check.

Every claim on this page can be checked against a public register in a few minutes, and you should do exactly that with any solar company you are considering. Here is where to look, and what our own entries say.
MCS is the UK government-recognised standard for solar installations, and it is what the Smart Export Guarantee requires. Search the installer by name at mcscertified.com. Ours is registered as Solar4Good UK Ltd, certificate NAP/72775/25/4.
A solar warranty is only worth what stands behind it. HIES and TrustMark both publish member lists and both handle complaints if an installer will not. Our HIES membership is S4G/A/1484 and our TrustMark registration is 3635039.
Solar is electrical work and it has to be notified. NAPIT publishes a searchable register of approved contractors; ours is 72,775.
Ask who certifies the installation, and whose warranty you are relying on. Ask it in writing. Every job we do is certified under our own MCS registration and carries our workmanship warranty, whether our MCS-registered installers or a long-standing partner installer carried it out.
Any installer with a real local track record can arrange this. Ask for someone on your street or estate, see the install in person, and ask what happened when they needed something after handover.
Look past the testimonials on the website. Trustpilot and Checkatrade both publish every review, good and bad, and both show whether the company replies. We respond to all of them.
If an installer cannot give you a registration number for each of these, that is the answer to your question.
The six we get asked most before someone books. Every answer here is checkable, against a public register or our own records.

We install panels from DMEGC, JA Solar, Jinko, Trina, Aiko and Eurener, and battery systems from Tesla Powerwall, Sigenergy, Fox ESS, AlphaESS and Dyness. We are certified installation partners for both Tesla Powerwall and Sigenergy.
